Fitted a temporary tank with flush filler cap to comply with MSVA regulations (Proper tank will be going back on post-test), uprated my stator from 40w to 100w, also began to wire the bike up to the best of my abilities.

I think I'm gunna outsource the wiring to someone else. If I carry on doing it, it'll look like a loom from an RS125 with 17 previous owners!

Upside is, the following electrical components have been tested and work!
Switchgear
Brake light
Tail light
Indicators
Ignition Switch
Brake light switch
Horn switch (But not horn... duff one out of the box... Rolling Eyes typical)

Still a load of things to do. I need to get someone to fabricate some mounts/brackets for:
Shotgun Ignition box (CDI+Coil pack in one)
Battery
Reg/rec

Need to space out front wheel to get it in line, then space out disc to bring it back to the caliper

Need to order clocks, mirrors, an offset kickstart...

The list of jobs goes on and on Laughing

Here she is anyway, looking like an absolute mess!

Finished up my new chain and sprockets by sorting chain tension and wheel alignment and rode it to work with a smile on my face!

In the spring? Eh?

I've just aqueous creamed the leather luggage and tool roll on the Enfield, as well as re-doing all my gloves again. I think I may have a little addiction problem with this stuff.

Loomed in the sat nav cables and attached the mount. Fitted the bluetooth unit into the helmet. Just got to pair everything up, then go have a play with it, make sure I know what I'm doing before heading off to Spain. Chickenstrip is being dragged slowly but inexorably into the modern age Shocked

Not mine but a mate's Z1000SX, (trying to) do chain & sprockets.

You think I can get the front sprocket nut off that thing? Fuuuuck me they factory fitted them tight. 2ft breaker bar with a 6ft scaffold pole and STILL can't shift it. Have to wait till Tuesday for an impact wrench (electric 450Nm job) Was going to get an air tool but instinct tells me my compressor isn't man enough for this one. Never really had need for a rattle gun so good excuse to buy man toys.

If I can't shift it then I think we'll take it down to a KwikFit or some tyre fitters and have them rag it off with a more beastly air tool.

Fucking Krapazakis, pff. Told him not to buy it.

I couldn't get mine off my DRZ with a breaker bar, windy gun had it off in seconds. Thumbs Up

Today I realised that when I changed my CCT I forgot to put a washer on, causing a small oil leak. I fixed it, and in the process of removing it all I snapped my throttle cable and one of the edges snapped off the throttle body. That washer has probably just cost me an extra £100 odd, plus the time of learning how to put on a new fuel rail/throttle body, and a new cable.

bike 1 - me 0.

When it whips it off in half a second, consider it the best value tool you've bought, rather than the worst.

Front brake pads - the last ones last 12k miles, I can't work out if that's good or not. It's a heavy bike but the 90% of those miles were sat on the motorway Thinking

Put the mirror blanking plugs on the grom so that the bars look much tidier, I need to take the new mirrors off and put some Loctite on the bolts to stop them moving when I walk into them.

Gave the gixer a bit of a clean and lubed the chain. Realised that I can't find my tyre pressure gauge and the battery was flat so I couldn't take it for an MOT. Shoved in on trickle charge for a bit.

Not the successful day that I intended it to be!

Changed head bearings on the gpz900. The fairing is right faff to remove. Why didn't they fit captive nuts on the wing mirror mounts -_-

Wheel bearings tomorrow followed by a brake clean and bleed as well as the spraying of a few rusty brackets

Cheapo LED indicators on XR had got water in and stopped working.

Ordered new set with a view to smothering them in sealant before fitting.

They arrived, but instead of black had a vibrant blue surround. Did not have any black paint, so coloured them in with a permanent marker pen.

Bodge bodged Thumbs Up

Rebuilt the carb. Considering how black and rusty it was last week I'm chuffed with how it turned out.
