I'll probably regret this but get this and try to keep the bloody tap straight.

Why was there still a 15 year old plug in there? Can we have another workshop topic, the last one was quite entertaining.

Tried out the Harpic on me pipes.

https://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/torty_2008/DSC_0720_zpsqgmmhvw8.jpghttps://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/torty_2008/DSC_0721_zpsvlftb7oi.jpg

I took out a few bolts to see if I could swing the rad forward to clean a bit higher but found out that I'd have to disconnect hoses so I passed.
They could probably do with another go but I'm fairly happy with the results so far.

For the cost of a few ponds and half an hours work, they really do look stunning.

Got the Hornet MOT'd yesterday. Got to my parents on Monday and was expecting to have starting issues as it hasn't really been started since the last MOT. Tried bump starting it, no dice. Slung in a new battery and she was good to go. Passed MOT without advisories. Parked up the Blackbird in the parents garage and rode the Hornet back to Bristol. Going to give it a clean and a service this weekend before putting it up for sale.

What harpic are we using here?

I'm intrigued and want to pick up a bottle.

Dunno if there's a common consensus. I used the one in the black bottle and it works brilliant. Put on with a sponge scourer then rinsed off. Thumbs Up

Just what others have recommended really, an old washing up sponge with the green scourer on the back.
A new scourer would probably be too harsh, it would do the job but it would dull the surface in such a way that you'd need a mechanical polishing device to bring the shine back.

Sure I've seen people saying they didn't scrub at all? Paint it on, go have a cuppa, wash it off, job done?

Yeah, I've seen that too.
I probably didn't leave it long enough to take off the real dark spots, I'll have another bash sometime soon.

Might wanna sort that back tyre out, or has the money that you should have spent on the tyre gone on the R1?

BCF needs a "jelly" rating.

I want to be FazerTard when I grow up.

Last night I had an after work tinker session and fitted ais block off plates and a LeoVince 3/4 exhaust system, the ais plates and de-cat were used which saved some cash and the pipe is already ceramic coated Cool might get the headers done to match one day.
