Washed and hosed down bike. Came up surprisingly nice. ACF50 applied liberally. Chain oiler seems to be working, rollers and outside plates in nice condition, even after several days of riding through shit weather. Inside plates are a bit rusty looking though

Anyone use dual feed chain oilers? Do they help with this? ____________________ I tell you what, mathematically, I'm having it |

Fitted engine bars and applied copperslip to every bolt I undid
Oh and the copperslip is now a family heirloom as halfords only had 500ml tubs in so I think I'll be handing this tub onto my grandkids |

Well they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Plus I see no copyright on the statement so I am free to use it
Obviously I wouldn't want to deeply disappoint anyone so I wasn't purposely copying I just thought it was a funny thing to say

Changed the clutch cable... Was pretty easy, so I've obvs done it wrong somewhere
Found front sprocket wriggling on shaft, just about held on by tab washer
Broke my own rules and refitted with a splodge of threadlock... Twice now, I've found it loose... ____________________ CBT - Oct 13. Theory - July 14. Mod 1 & 2 - June 15.

Cleaned the underside suspension that I've been neglecting for far too long: picture below is with degreaser applied and therefore in a better state than what it was before photo. Somewhat more shiny, for now (barstuard to get to).

Cleaned all calipers, it seems the sliding pins have a habit of not doing their job really quite easily thus causing rubbing. Brings total caliper clean count to 1000,0000. ____________________ The do it all, T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶r̶o̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶,̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶i̶g̶ ̶l̶u̶m̶p̶,̶ ̶C̶h̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶N̶o̶o̶d̶l̶e̶ |

Beta. Despite the 7 and a half minutes at a jetwash yesterday, there was still quite a lot of mud to remove by hand, before I thoroughly cleaned and lubed the chain. Took the front chain guard off and cleaned the gunk out of there with a brush and a rag.
Changed air filter, I have a few old ones lying around that I clean and oil and bag up ready, saves a bit of time, and stops me getting super messy.
Changed gear oil. Topped 2T oil up.
Took radiator guards out, and bash plate off, cleaned by hand, really just checking for damage.
Still took me 2 hours. |
