Spent a chilled Friday evening in the garage replacing the cam chain, tensioners and guides on the gpz900. Hopefully I did it right Praying

Gotta love a warm garage with a power, a sound system and a beer fridge

Attempted to diagnose the mysterious rubbing/scraping like noise coming from rear of the bike that happens at random but mostly is noticed at slow speeds and failed; I might have to wait for something to go bang before I work it out; not effecting handling or performance <confused.jpg>

Removed rear huger, for the first time, and found a lovely mark -- caused before my ownership (naturally you'd remember a moment like that).

Removed caliper and nothing stuck in that, although I'd have noticed -- doesn't hurt to be sure for the sake of removing two bolts.

Even with just me sitting on the bike and wheeling the bike forward it occurs.

R.I.P, yo.

Cleaned out cam on rear drum.

Re-routed cables and wiring behind light, looks like someone was having a poke in it when parked up in town yesterday.

Mine turned out to be a wobbly centre stand when elevated above where the old exhaust held it. New stop I made for it was set higher, and it moved sideways on left handers. Took me a couple of weeks to narrow it down and shim it with another washer.

Could be something to look at given I've had it up on the centre stand and spun the wheel and got nothing but silence. Thumbs Up

After snapping the mounting for the second time, relocated the reg/rec to the back of one of the toolboxes, and gave it a dedicated earth.

I've been cleaning/fixing my CBR600f up for sale. Give it a good wash all over, degreased the oil and crud around the chain/swingarm and been sorting out the little issues that accumulate over 9 years of ownership.

Cut down my hugger to remove some damage caused by a screw stuck in my tyre and gave it a coat of satin black. Replaced some rusty P clips with new ones, replaced some missing well nuts, cleaned and rubber greased the brake calipers and removed the scottoiler to transfer to my SV1k. I'll give it an oil change, fresh MOT is booked for Saturday, then it's on scumtree.

successfully replaced cam chain and tensioners. Quite pleased with myself.
Unfortunately it did not fix the issue so i am likely going to need a replacement engine while this one gets stripped down to find the source of the noise.

If its not the bottom end i will probably stick a know 'good' head on.

Removed this nail my friend pointed out while spinning my back wheel.

Have ordered a plug kit... I'm a bit lucky with that one.

Also changed the air filter, coolant and found the fan motor works but the sensor or control thing doesn't so I might bodge a switch in for my france trip.

Like the fact that the head of the screw has been worn on the road.

Sweet, I'm loving my 16 model! You'll have all the trick with that though. Plus better stock forks!

I'm already sold on the quickshifter, still gotta set the suspension up.

But, Omfg, the torque on this bike is nuts!
