Collected the new coolant reservoir from the dealers today and fitted it this afternoon. Turns out the original one had more than a crack in it. Shocked

https://preview.ibb.co/hhwWH8/20180621_171851.jpg

Laughing

What an absolute ball ache of a job it was to get to though. This is the first time I've removed the fairings on the er6f (2015 model). To remove the right side fairing, which is needed to gain access to the reservoir, it turns out that you have to remove the windscreen, then the windscreen mounts and various other pieces of plastic above the nose cone and around the dash, then unbolt the speedo and remove it and locate multiple pop rivets before you can gain full access to it.

Replacing the reservoir and re-filling it took about 5 mins at most. Dismantling and putting back together took about 2 f'king hours. Much profanity was also used.

Gonna buy a naked bike next time. Mad

Commuted to work on my beta cross trainer, rode round and round all the cones in the carpark really very slowly standing up, just because I could

Topped up the 2t oil, filled it up with fuel, cable tied more broken plastics. Must get around to replacing plastics.

Chain replaced on the rf.
Regreased a lot of moving parts.
Fitted trickle charger and new battery

Oil and filter tomorrow.

I need to find someone with pretty much the entire tail fairing for sale or I'm going to have to get inventive with 3D printing for the broken bit where the indicator attaches.

Replaced the rear wheel bearings on the M900, sorted out an ignition problem on the M750 (turned out that a new spark plug was a dud) and changed oil and filter on the Bandit 1200.

Fitted a Sigma BC 5.16 bicycle speedo, so I can have a trip counter and a clock. Apparently it's good to 125mph Smile

adjusted chain and changed all fluids during reassembly.

Still quite a few things to do before replacing cam chain and guides

Changed the clutch cable on my Inazuma 250, the old one felt so stiff
and was really pissing me off. Fitting the new cable wasn't easy due to
having to deal with a split pin and not much room to get the bugger
out. (engine connection)

Routing the cable was the easy part, after fitting I adjusted the cable
properly and it feels so smooth which means I got the routing spot on.

I did this little job in the shade but it didn't stop the sweat dropping from
my face, boy is it hot today.....

The only downside to the job was that I re-used the same split pin so I
have ordered some baby R clips to replace.

Waiting for my bike to have its 12000 service plus extras done

They gave me an mt07 demo bike whilst I wait
Not overly impressed with it
Seat is very hard
Feels very vibey when riding compared to my xj6n

The instrument panel is better laid out built in gear indicator Eco mode etc
Slightly better riding position narrower lower handlebars feels good very exposed riding without any screen at all

Can't wait to get mine back

Lent the TL to FretGrinder.

Then we went drag racing. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an evening.

It suspect it might if someone other than me is riding it Laughing

It was a proper good evening, lots of bikes, lots of noise and I had a fantastic time riding both the TL and the Busa for the first time ever.

I'm not sure if I had more fun on the runway, or the 90 mile round trip that I did on the TL on the roads to the airfield, with it's monstrously loud Yoshimura exhausts.
