It's probably broken if it only did that. I know my clocks read 171 before, so take some sizeable wedge off for Speedo inaccuracies... It was well over 140, probably more into 150.

Will fit front tomoz.

PR4s seem to have done 8.5k, might have got away with another 500 miles but it was getting a bit squirmy in the wet the other day.

Rear was tried today, makes the steering responsive again getting a nice round profile back on, but the front felt a bit shitty as the current PR4 is worn oddly on one side.

New front is on, can't wait to give it some. Didn't feel as tacky as the rear, bit shinier so I'll go gently for a few miles.

---Update---

Forgot how good new tyres feel, still only tested in the dry warm weather but they do feel better when leant over than the pr4s when they were new. I think there's about 1cm of the edge that hasn't touched the road yet, so more to give if needed but felt stable regardless, and I've not felt that I've been pushing too hard.

I'm thinking the gearing has been altered, but then I'm not certain where the speedo picks up from on that bike.

Definitely should be capable of more unless you're wearing your MC hammer pants, diving flippers and your helmet is 64XL.

Do you have another gear? Laughing

Well my cbr600f3 does around 140 in 5th and up to an indicated 160 in 6th but the speedo reads a bit high.

On the dash, something is wrong. I assumed gps... The cbr6f with massive topbox can easily do that though I have no desire to find where she tops out...

Fitted a 12v socket to the MT09.

It's an official yamaha kit that wires directly into the bikes loom via an auxiliary connector, so it runs off the ignition.

Decided to be proactive and get a new battery as the old motobatt isn't holding charge like it used to, can't complain after +6 years.

Save myself from taking the fairing off I looked up the part number on motobatt site. Did a search on that auction site and up pops a different motobatt....says it fits my bike.
I ain't got time fo dis so plumbed for the proper one albeit the more costly one.

So yeah...new battery. Clapping

I decided to have a go at fixing the slight running issue... got to the lockup and realised I'd forgot the key.... so I kicked the back wheel, called it a useless bastard and came home

Fitted a voltage and temperature gauge to the grom, the unit replaces the top clamps on the bars and looks pretty good. Needs some cable ties to hide some wiring and it is done. Very happy!

If you have lights, you need both brake switches to be functional.

Tidied garage and got the 250 out, carbs off, ready to clean.

I may have too many tires.. Half are worn out but dump charges 4 quid each, which I was refusing to pay. Two more good ones on the wall.

Wheelie bin makes these disappear!

If they don't fit, cut the sidewalls out with a knife.

It takes a fuck ton of effort to cut up a tire, particually the bead wires. It will ruin hacksaw blades but I have not yet attempted with the grinder. I have disposed of a few this way. thin disc in slow grinder and a scalpel blade has it in 3 pieces very quick.

If its going to cost 4 quid Anyway I am tempted to post them without a return address. I do have some freepost return labels..

Got 250 carbs stripped. Lots of sand and shit in the float bowls, unsure where or how it has got in - was it hiding somewhere when cleaned years ago?! Or has it come from the tank.
Jets were blocked, soaking in carb cleaner in a mini jam jar.

Today's comedy brought to you by the numbers 10115 and 915.

10115 miles on the Enfield, with 915 showing on my "trip counter", a 3 digit combination lock which I use to record when I last filled up.

10115 - (9)915 = 100, right? Riiiight? No, wait, is that two hundr-

*cough* *splutter* rolllll to a stop. Not had to flip it to reserve for quite a while. Embarassed
