Changed out the handle bar grips for the OEM ones because the aftermarket ones I got weren’t as good.

gave it a visual check before I ran it for the first time in a month

clouds of 2 stroke smoke everywhere in the cold as it warmed up

need to adjust and lube the chain, and top the 2T oil up, will probably do that at Twixtmas, won't bother with an oil change till Jan

rode it about town, and gave it a quick blast down the bypass

VFR -
Oiled chain. Rode it to the coast, on a decently sunny, if cold, day out.
Ordered steel and friction plates for clutch (113K, doubt steel plates have been changed), and springs, rollers etc for starter clutch service. Also got some Oil, filter, clutch cover gasket. Would be silly not to while I've got her open.

Work rat -
Failed dismally to find the spare copper exhaust gasket. Ordered more.
Oiled chain. Rode it around until she was up to temp, locked it back up.

Removed the screens and mirrors as the covers cover more of the bikes without them on.

Topped up the fuel tanks.

Chucked on the covers, then a tarpaulin and bungee straps.

Said goodbye till the spring.

Found and fixed the break in the wiring that was stopping the front brake switch working the brake light.

VFR:-
Whipped out clutch plates, friction plates were really badly worn. Put new steel and friction plates in. Changed oil and filter while I was at it. Still need to bleed it, by all accounts they are a twunt to bleed, and didn't work the way I've bled any other bikes after a clutch plate change.

Adjusted chain tension and lubed it.

Work rat:-
Chain tension and lube.

Found out why cheap Taobao fairing bolts are so cheap

Got further with rebuilding shock (with heavier oil and spring)

Trusty PVC fork seal driver came in handy.

https://i.imgur.com/Ugww5p7.jpg

Had to drill into circlip recess, just couldn't get it out otherwise (couple of hours with various picks).

Also, online guides said to use a socket to drift the bladder lower.
I knew this was a bad idea and did it anyway. Rolling Eyes
Result, one fugly looking bladder cap.
As it turned out (found as part of re-assembly) that PVC piping was fine to use as a drift.

Just need to source a heavier spring. Have contacted a few companies, but xmas/new year etc

Also need to get local shop to re-pressure with Nitrogen.

Shortened the wires for the rear indicators and rear light.
It was a mad rats nest when the seat was lifted - cables far too long and curled into reels!
Managed to break an indicator bulb so not everything was successful.

Changed the oil and filter on the VFR, and generally inspected, and ACF50'd it. Found one of the large cap head bolts from the lower fairing panel was missing, so fashioned something similar from bits I had lying around.

SpeedyFastners do these. I have a few I need to order. Pretty sure they're the same fastner across the 750 and 800's.

Done some 'Loctite' fixes/checks on the CCM - DRZ400 engine.
Drained oil, replaced filter, unclipped half the wiring harness and released the stator wire connector. Unbolted the starter motor and then unbolted the LH engine casing. Drained even more oil.
Checked internals and put the thing back together. Replaced with new engine oil, started it.

The bike has had 4 owners since new and the loctite fixes are well known and absolutely needed - I just didn't know if it had been done to my bike. It has but that's OK because I can now sleep at night.
Whoever did the fixes did a good job of them but were careless when reassembling the engine because they trapped a piece of conifer in the gasket..

Took the mighty little Hyosung for a service and an MOT today.
I know everything is good on the bike .
The bike is faired and has no centre stand , also I have no space to work on a bike, so it was easier to let the shop do the work.

You need to take half the fairing off to change the plugs Evil or Very Mad

Anyhow, it passed with no advisory’s Smile Thumbs Up

Wired up glove heated liners, fit them inside the Spada Enforcers and a quick test. Test was good, very warm, 5w per glove at only half powar.

Checked tyre pressures and rode it into work. JESUS it's cold.

Heated jacket and gloves, barmuffs, but still got frozen feet.

Crashed it. Rolling Eyes The wife's van van 200

Just outside Chinnor on the b4009, low speed off on mud at side of road just as I was pulling over tried to save it with stamp of foot, but i slipped on mud leg twisted round and wirh leg at awkward angle was pinned under bike, and was struggling to wiggle free.

Joe public to the rescue...
I kept yelling it's fine, I'm fine etc was worried some over enthusiastic passers by would lift it off me and drop it on its other side due to panic

Apart from sticky animal shitty farm mud over me and the bike , just got a slightly bent lever and scratched mirror and indicator, rode it another 50 miles home.

Not worthy of a spill thread post.
