Reflashed the firmwear for the power commander on the TL.
Took an hour to sort but seems to have fixed it.
Bunged a basic map on and she started first time. I'm pleased I saved the JHS racing map to a USB stick so I can bang that back on.
Need to service and MOT it next week.
The sun has been shining, the plants are starting to sprout and it smells like spring!!!
Edit:- this ones running rich too, gif has sound right click unmute.

Gixxer got new air filter + spark plugs. Adjusted rear brake lever. Removed TomTom wire + plug that previous owner had fitted.

Everything had a good clean with WD40. Threads and things oiled / slipped and silicone grease to stop water and plug stickage.
To do: Rear shock, front springs, brake strip front+rear, replace coolant, replace battery. |

Dropped the fucker! Rolled off the side stand as I was getting off in the drive and pinned me to the gas meter - schoolboy error. Lucky that neighbour is a biker and was around to lift it off me, but it'll take time to live that down. ____________________ BSA Sunbeam 250 scoot (1965), Van Van, Bandit 650 SA |

New cans on the Triple:
Ordered SP Engineering Stubby Moto GP cans in satin black. Price was £295, and came with 2 SPE neck scarves and a couple of stickers, which was nice.

Before installing, the stock cans...

Took a while to adjust so both sat symmetrically. A case of tightening everything up, loosen it all, adjust, tighten up, loosen, adjust...rinse and repeat until happy.

Quite loud...even with the baffles in Tbh, longer journeys will require ear plugs as they do tend to reverberate in your head a bit. Also, bit of a heads up to any popo within half a mile that someone is caning it.... Think they suit much better than the fat arse stock cans and sound a lot better though. Now the only other problem is the tail section looks even more ridiculous than before. Think next weekend will be Tail Tidy Making Weekend.
Overall, very pleased! ____________________ A Guide To Powerbands |

Oil change, which I cocked up massively. Drained oil, removed filter, cleaned the surface, filled new filter with new oil and fit. Poured dirty oil into old empty new bottle, overflowing everywhere. Squeezed out most of the old oil back into drain tub. Only a small amount got mixed, mostly clean so I used it anyway.

Then did sprocket carrier bearing. Turned a bearing driver tool on lathe, to help get spacef in. Froze bearing, heated carrier, and it dropped straight in. Easiest bearing I have done. |
