Oil change, shoutout to the dummy who put the last filter on - really enjoyed spending 1 hour to do an oil and filter change instead of 15 minutes

I paused to take a picture:

I've done lots of miles with lots of vehicles, but this is the first one I've taken over the 100k mark. I bought the CBF1000 with 20k on the clock and added the 80k over the last 6 years. It would have got to 100k sooner, but I tend to give the bike a break over the summer while I ride the cooler CB500.
The bike is still in pretty good shape. The heel plates and heated grips are worn and there's a frame brace hidden behind the radiator that's almost rusted through, but otherwise it cleans up quite nicely.
Another 100k ahead? Meh, I don't know. The mileage effectively makes the bike worthless so I'll probably keep knocking out the miles until something expensive breaks, then move on to something made in the current decade. ____________________ 2007 CBF1000-ABS - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

Having a right time with the "chap from further corners..." who sold me these on ebay. Turns out they are not rear pegs at all, but front ones.
I asked for a return and explained the issue precisely, but he's being a dick and demanding photo's showing exactly how they won't fit on the rear. Getting a bit pissed off with him.
Took him a while to respond to the return request, yet if I don't respond to his messages within hours, he's complaining at me.
Anyway, I'm guessing he's someone who knows sod-all about bikes or the internet, cos it took me less than 3 minutes to find the Yamaha diagrams online that show the difference between front and rear peg fittings.
Needless to say, I haven't fitted my new pegs yet - but I must admit I'm thinking of keeping them, as my fronts are well worn - just want this twat to describe what he's selling accurately. |
Play the game properly. ebay?
Well they will rule in your favour, the onus on the seller to sort out return postage as it's his mistake.
That would likely be too expensive and he'll probably let you keep them for free or ask you to accept them for partial refund. ____________________

Washed it.
Well, used some snow type soap and rinsed off with the hose. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |
