Well ! Stop the presses! Front page news, Pepperami actually got a bike out of the garage and rode it Shocked

The Hyosung has been a bit neglected lately, so I gave it the once over and took it for a spin.
No issues, and it still goes well.

A bit of TLC and she’ll be ready for the Scottishland trip next year.

Taxed the Honley RX3 today, yay!

All back under their blankets and safely locked up again Laughing Thumbs Up

Fitted new brake pads. Didn't really need them, but a past issue with a sticking caliper had caused one to wear more than the other, and they were different brands (and pad materials) left and right, which probably meant one caliper was doing more work than the other, so I just fitted new and consistent ones of equal thickness. Surprised myself that it only took me about 5 minutes to do both, and I wasn't even rushing.

Also ordered new rear shocks. Nothing special, but OE spec, apparently. With 14mm mounting pins, choices are limited unless you're willing to make new spacers or file the existing pins down.

When I stripped the pillion seat and foot pegs off the original bolts were too long. Swapped for some shorter ones.

I did need tools so technically I did some work today Laughing

This week I have mostly rode the tits off my bike.
Making up for lost time, after I have been out two weeks waiting for my gear change lever to be fixed.

Since last Friday evening:
Chelsea to Bromley, Bromley to Docklands, Docklands to Dorset, Dorset to Wiltshire, Wiltshire to Docklands, Docklands to Chelsea wait and return, the rest of the week.

Had a two-night one night stand, got fed steak AND beef bayonet, and got my engine oiled and my tyres well pumped too. Result.

As a result of this, the bikes pulling like a fucking train and sounds like an apex predator (resembling its owner, naturally).

Men in traffic are staring.
I think its pheromones, or summat, not sure.

Crikey.

Parked up in pretty St. Ives, Cambridgeshire and as I stood behind the Kawasaki it did a little wee. The radiator fan was on and it turns out that the rubber pipe sticking out of the tail unit/undertray is a coolant overflow. I've had the bike for 18 years and I didn't know this. All fine, no harm done, maybe 5mL lost.

Avoid the A14 Northbound. Awful queues squeezed into 3 narrow lanes leaving no room for filtering.

Started fitting the race bodywork to my GSXR400. Me and a mate comissioned this and i supplied a set of stock bodywork as a pattern. Bit of fiddling required but it went on quite as well compared to previous experiences with light weight race bodywork, had to trim the bellypan to clear the sidestand spring and there a few little cracks to repair. The good news is I can dispense with the lower fairing mounts as it's pretty much self supporting. Can't wait to see how much weight is saved once the lights and stuff are gone.

Reassembling the scooter and figuring out a way to get it over the trenches of my own personal battlefield
which is completely blocking my side access. It's being collected on Monday morning for MOT and repair. I think
it will need 2 people and both of my ramps to get it out of here. Shocked

Trench right across back as well, plus remaining bifold doors are boarded up anyhow because they would have been
exposed to the elements (and mad mike the drainbreaker on the digger) during the build. I'll have 3 brickies here
to help on Monday, We'll just cable tie the brake levers to lock the wheels and carry the bugger out if necessary.
I have to get it out before 3000+ bricks and about 20 cubic metres of concrete arrive (also tomorrow) of course
that's after the approx 16 tonnes of soil and concrete is removed from my front garden which is at 8am tomorrow.

I take it the bricks are coming in pallets... from a flatbed with a crane? Slip 'em a fiver and maybe they'd lift it out for you Smile

New purpose built bunker for the Spacker. No more shed for her, heated bike garage being built along with a big remodel
of my downstairs area. Pretty much will double my downstairs floor space and give the place a thorough renovation
throughout with a total redesign of my kitchen. We have had about 80 tonnes of soil and concrete taken away plus whats
still in the front garden. I can't wait for it to start going up.

Italian bike / car day in Bridgnorth. Good day, some decent stuff there. A fantastic Bimota VDuo, a few Ducati’s including a Panigale V4R with tyres that looked like they’d seen a fast lap or two, and perhaps two dozen Ferraris and Lamborghinis. There was a couple of Lancia HF Intergrales too - six numbers on the lottery and I’ll be looking for one of those!
Good ride back too along the A44 and A483.
A good day!

Mike (24) looks like a love island dude. Muscles and tattoos. Jason the boss is your age *cough* but cycles competitively
and is a proper grafter. Built the business from the ground up. An all round good egg, about to start fostering kids and
there's Andy who is a little younger than me and another keen cyclist. Good bunch of lads who I used to build the studio
for the wife. Here you go you old perv.

Now look here ... I only engaged in rudery about builders in order NOT to think about Grr666's downstairs area Laughing

He's a married man.
A hot one.
But nonetheless a married one.

So I've got to make do with builders and their bottoms.

Today I mostly have only ridden to the Toolstation to buy two tarps and some rope so that I can properly cover the GSX750.
(feeble attempt to get back on topic, LOL)

I tried to move it closer to the other bike and to the coffin trailer, so as to give my neighbours some spare parking space, but I can't budge the fucker, due to dead battery and a pair of flat/split tyres from being sat so long.

Can't even get the damn thing on the centre stand, so I've wrapped it up in tarp and hope like fuck it doesn't fall back over before I can get new tyres on the fuckin' thing.

I'd rather be riding the GSX in the winter than the Snarley.
But that's a moot point cos who knows where the fuck I will be by then Rolling Eyes
