When did that come in? Must have been recently. Another one of their so-called taxes on your own hard earned. How does it work?

See following posts... the OP had ended up on a scam site. That's how it works. Thumbs Up

Where's that? My girlfriend lives near that area (Maryland Station) and she could really do with having someone trustworthy to look at hers while I can't go that far.

Well, not so close but still - TTT Motorcycles near Cambridge Heath/Bethnal Green, https://www.tttmotorcycles.org/ the shop might be closed but their garage/workshop/MOT in 279 Poyser St. is open, tel.: 0207 729 9576

Yeah, he's right;
It was the first one that came up on google!
The proper Gov. site is the second one.

The other half decided that the downpipes on her 2016 Yamaha Tracer were looking noticeably crap.

So armed with a bottle of this -

The downpipes went from this -

To this -

Thankfully, she's rather pleased with the result Very Happy

The baby bandit:-

When Fret and I went for a test ride after the bike was finished I found the brakes somewhat lacking.
Today I stripped and cleaned the calipers, fitted Brembo red pads, braided hoses and a radial master cylinder.

It now stops like it's hit a wall.

And shown up how bad the front suspension is..........

I took the KR1S apart:

https://cdn.bcf.44bytes.net/files/img_4744_small.jpg

I put some kurust on the exhausts and generally tidied it up. Will need to get the barrels looked at, so I put it away again for a bit. I fixed the seat lock on the VFR though, so that's good, right? Smile Confused Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Renewed the insurance on both bikes, last year paid £220 fully comp, Bennets have quoted £163, so that was good news. If they ever leave the garage that is.
Optimiser on for the fortnightly charge, both bikes are better polished than a guardsman toe caps.

I've booked it in for a proper MOT while I can still afford it.

Got to stop dicking about and get the bloody thing running properly. After last summer being so awesome but coming to an abrupt end with that nob in Wiltshire, I want to get some more decent rides in.

Cos some people need to be visited and given the opportunity to force me to drink cocktails with them this summer until I collapse into a gently chundering heap in the corner of the bar.

Cheaper to get the bike sorted properly, than to risk a fine that's probably ten times as much as what it will cost me.

With all that drag and weight on a heavy 125 it will hardly have enough power to move, you will be getting overtaken by cyclists.Rolling Eyes

So, wait ... are you telling us you are going to permanently attach that trunk to the back of that bike?

Like how it is in the picture, only not with the bungees holding it there?

Are you mad?
No, don't answer that.

My bike has to be functionally practical, I want to to be able to do my shopping, and carry odd bits and bobs for my bike and other projects, and when I do I put on a suitable box to take it all, so I don't expect to be able to do silly MPH when transporting stuff, anyhoo it's a tourer and doesn't do silly MPH anyway.

Having SORN the car, it's my only transport. As I said I've bought some polished stainless to make a stylish custom rack, and as & when I need it, that box'll go on there. That's why I removed the pillion seat.

Makes an excellent backrest, and managed 60 on the way home...although it was empty, so drags not a problem, the wind has to get around me first, now that's drag Laughing

I think my camera angle doesn't do it justice. That'll open a can of worms... Smile

Same.

Loved having a blast on your bandit, watching you blast past on my MT-09 and the overall fun we all had just being out.

Left it at the MOT garage Rolling Eyes
Only to be expected really.

The Sinister Fiend came to pick me up and dropped me at home, promising to come back and collect me when the MOT guy says its ready to go.

God only knows what its going to cost me, but that's what I've been working hard and saving up for, has to be done if I want to get some decent riding in this summer.
