speaking to my uncle last night about how im getting on with rebuilding my CG, he said his mate has a 600 bandit that he will probably sell for £150

he reckons its pretty old (prob '97)

i haven't seen it or anything but i don't know if its worth a go?

he reckons its not seized, but it hasn't been on the road for a few years

what cha reckons?

Check condition, see if it'll start / gets power.
Could probably get your money back anyway if it doesn't work.
Go for it.

I'd definitely check the bores, you can get to 2 of them easily.

Mine was fucked and was standing 2 years.

For £150 do it! The frames do get a bit of surface rust sometimes but I've never seen any get structurally bad. Really good all rounders.

if you have a compression tester, bonus.

But no... give it a good look over.

Factor in tyres, chain, sprockets, brake pads, cables as they may have got shitted up and rusty/frayed.

All adds up, from that list if you needed those parts, £500 should sort the lot with the bike included.

Grab it - you would get a fair bit more breaking it for parts on ebay if you decide not to do it back up.
