Going through some old negatives... came across a couple that were probably disguarded as prints because they seem to have been double exposed... but their still sort of viewable... only I haven't got the foggiest what they are!

any-one got any ideas what they might be?

Well, motorbikes obviousely, and old ones... even when pics were taken, which is probably near twenty years ago!

Chap was called Chris, and was a mate of my uncle. Shed was full of old wop-iron, so I guess their italians, but no telling with Chris. We'd dropped round as he'd offered us some tickets for a Classic show he was exhibiting at, and I think he was showing a Vincent!

It was the Stonleigh show, probably 1995/6/7ish? and seem to be rather a lot of snaps from the HRD stand on the same roll... which is the only evidence to support the suggestion really!

That could be along the right lines..... I seem to recall the tank was faded, but reminiscent of a 'Panther' in the decal & what appeared to remain of the chrome.... BUT..... its a rigid frame..... I thought that the Saturno's had that funny under-engine cantilever rear suspension with friction arm dampers between swing arm & frame?

suicide shift implies it's pre-war, though so could be a very early one...
But damn wops.... Chris used to pull stuff out that shed, and I'd look at it and think 50's, and he'd laugh and say "Nope! 1982 Guzzi Falcone Malitia Model!" or something similar!

Chris Veneri.. think that's how you spell his name! Half Italian, Brummie Builder, and (I'm told nominally successful national level) Scramble-Racer from the Jeff-smith era.
Pictured infront of a Man-Cave to be envies, STUFFED chocka full of old italian iron, his italian cousin brought in on the 'back-load' of his taut-liner truck!
As a builder, from the old-school, come November, he would down tools, cash in his 'hold-back' pay, and toddle off home to play with bikes until the snow had gone! He aparently had a plan; and that was, he'd decide what he needed to do to make his scrambler better for next season; haul it into his shed, strip it, rebuild it, and then build another with all his 'improvements' selling last years bike at the first meeting and riding the new build. But aparently he would get bored, so would 'do' a road bike or two... and as often as not, merely tarp them down in a corner, until they were 'eorth something'.... in the early 80's... so I was told... he was running out of work-shop room..... so he dug a ruddy great cellar under the house and installed a lift down to it from the porch to get the bikes down into it!
Ensconced one winter, between cellar and shed.... he surfaced one March to find a sink full of washing up and a Dear-John note from his missus..... Shrugged... made a cup of tea..... and pondered whether he might have to sell a bike or two to pay her off, and if so.... which one could he bear to part with!
Legend!

Arial? Not only can he probably tell us the make model & Vin of those two bikes, he probably know's Cris... can recount a yarn about haggling over a primary drive cover with him, provide current address and telephone number and if he wasn't knocking off Chris's missus while he was in the cellar, probably knows who was!
