Dont know what colour youre after but i bought a case of these off ebay a while back:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Simoniz-Spray-Paint-Aerosol-500ml-Can-Satin-Black-x12-/260331081270?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item3c9cf10e36

500ml cans instead of shitty 300ml ones and it was really decent paint, including delivery only works out at £2.88 per can!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I use cheapo rattle cans for basic primers etc on small items but have to say as far as bodywork goes...don't touch them as they have poor finish for the gloss or lacquer ....more spatter than spray even with cutting and polishing give crap results. The halfrauds stuff is steep but much better results for the rattle cans....you may well be better off buying an airbrush and small compressor as even matched paint is a whole lot cheaper. Aldi do a good spec compressor and spray kit for cheap every now and then!

Buy hycote, I won't touch anything else. Then finish it off with a 2k lacquer (yes you can buy it in a can, its duel compound!).

2k may be better, but there are good reasons why its not common for DIY. Pro resprays dont cost that much, health is more important.

Rattlecans suck. Goto halfords paint desk, buy a BOTTLE of unthinned lacquer, I belive its £13 for 400ml. Liter of paint was £29, believe its £16 for 500ml? Sounds expensive, but I'd guess a rattle can is about 100ml of actual paint, unthinned.

Then use airbrush to get a good, controlled and repeatable spray pattern.

Most people dont care for the idea, but you dont need a compressor, a double barrel foot pump works very well.
