I am thinking about buying a wr 450 and i will be using it for in the bush and also riding to work and around town. I have been told that they are really bad to ride on the road and they chew gear boxes when been ridded on the road. If i buy one am i going to stuff it by riding it to work on the road and is there anything else u can tell me about it.

i'm guessing that with it being a competition machine it will require a lot of maintaining and it will overheat far too easily, don't know if this is the case with this certain bike though Thumbs Up

They don't make good every day road bike's and will be difficult to commute on. Also they will require regular maintenance, if you want to get a big trail bike for the road why not get a xt/xl.

Thanks for the replies.

What I'd really like to know is if they chew gearboxes by riding them on the road.
