Or whatever there called, that you stick on the front of naked bikes. Do they actually provide any wind resistance at all. Just some of my commute involves a 10 mile stint on the motorway. And anything above 80 mph feels like im going to have my head torn off. Or 50 mph if there is a head wind.

Noticed it was a little nicer with a screen, i'd be looking at quite a tall one though.

I have a 2 point Givi handlebar fixing one, makes a difference up to 60, then I get bounced about by wind buffeting. I am on a 125 4 stroke lightweight thing though. The 2 point handlebar ones are recommended up to 100kph. I am told the 4 point fixing ones are better for higher speeds. No idea what the headlight fixing ones are like.

I just fitted a smallish one that goes onto the headlight bracket and it seems to keep the wind off pretty well. It felt pretty brutal at 80 without it.

The one on my Street Triple makes a massive difference. I don't really like the look of it, but it does the job far better than the little panel on my Buell Lightning.

I've just got a tiny little Givi attached to the headlight of the 500..

There is not much difference but the bike definitely takes less of a twist with the throttle to push it though. And it has reduced the buffeting effect at 60+ definitely worth while on those more rainier and shittier days!

I think just splitting up the wind before it hit's your main body has more of an effect that you think.

Sorry, my mistake. Knew it began with S and had a number in it somewhere. I didn't sleep very well last night, and it was my 33rd birthday yesterday so it's probably Alzheimers.

I have a taller screen fitted to my NC700, I find that it does indeed remove the wind blast from my chest, instead it channels the full force directly into my face.

this Laughing It's not too bad with ear plugs I find, and coming from supermotos it's weird not clinging to the bike at higher speeds.

I have a rectangle headlight on the K75, is my only option to change to a round one for a fly screen? Can't see anything on the bay.

Made such a difference on the ER-5.

There's something to do with aerodynamics and aerofoil effects. A pressure wave is created which pushes the wind blast up over your head.

I'm toying with the notion of fitting one of those very ghey wee clip-on things to the top of my screen to flick the wind over my hat. I can get wind-free if I just hunker down an inch or two but not the most comfortable position. The wee 'eyebrow' things are about 100 quid though. Sad

Bubbles and stuff are talked about but it is mostly a trial and error thing I have more experience with the later I'm afraid.

Naked bikes are a pig for windblast. Head neck chest and arms work as a sail. Not much can really cater for all of that so it may be down to a compromise. You may lose the blast to your chest and ease the effect of holding on but gain more wind noise.

the screen keeps the wind off your belly and chest which is the more aerodynamic of the two Laughing
