Its a place in Greenford and the website can be found here : https://www.london-motorcycle-museum.org/

I was told that was one of the first water cooled motorbikes.

The Vincent oddly felt like one of the least notable bikes there.

Forgotten what this one was, one of the old Speedway bikes? Was amongst some sports bikes and a few land speed record bikes there.

Ahh the sports bikes... I took some terrible photos of them Sad Heres a cotton

More will follow, from Norton ambulances, Royal Enfield Fleas, the Arctic - Antartic Enfield, and a telephone on a police triumph.

Wouldn't worry about the Vignetting too much, sometimes it adds a bit of effect and highlights the subject in the centre.

Nice pics Thumbs Up

My dad had a Vincent just like that.

The Vincent looked great. It did seem forgettable amongst the other bikes there though. How to explain... Like...

'Oh a Vincent! Tat looks awesome! Seen a few of them now.... But what on earth is the contraption next to it?' Shocked

To be honest, pre 1930's, it also seemed brakes were an afterthought. There were a few from 1920s that had bicycle pad brakes, weighed the same as modern day bikes, and could hit 50mph! (though most never managed above 20-30 mph) Sweet Jesus they must have never stopped! Different brakes, from early disc ones and drum ones started being developed mid 1920's, which looked nothing like todays, but it was years before they spread across all bikes.

Yeah, but you'd have had an open road, you could calculate your need to brake for miles. And rarely a smidsy.

Actually, one more.

There was a guy who knew the current staff at the museum. A few years ago he was diagnosed with cancer. One thing he wanted to do was ride from Arctic to Antarctic on an Enfield.

He was young, and his parents were worried, but he was on burrowed time. To show he could do it, he said a short trip to Europe. He ended up in Egypt.

He arranged with an Enfield dealer in the UK to send him parts whenever he needed them, loaded up, shipped the bike to the Arctic and off he went. He wanted to ride for 6 months, solstice too solstice. He did it in 6 months and 1 day.

He also wanted to raise £100,000 for Cancer Research, he got £85,000. Theres a collection jar there, you get free tea and are asked to put what you would like to pay for tea into the jar. They hope they may get to his £100,000 goal some day.

Once he had finished his trip he gave the museum his bike. They said on the day he delivered the bike, he said 'I don't ever want on it again'.

He passed away some time ago.
