What's the red light, oil pressure?

Well if it is an oil pressure light then it may fade as the bike turns over and pressure builds up.

2 things - do you have fuel getting through the carb (tap on etc...) and is there a spark (kill switch on...)?

Whip the plug out and see if its wet, then wedge it against a bare metal surface, crank it over and see if there is a spark. Don't hold the plug!

Like I said I'm inexperienced I have no idea what the parts are on/near the engine when j press the ignition there's like a noise coming from a black plug going into a cylinder vibrating a little and making the noise this plug doesn't move

If you really have no idea how to get a spark plug out then find a friend who does.

Is this a motorbike you're trying to start, not a vacuum cleaner?

PS, you should really post in the Workshop, "Biking News & Issues" doesn't mean news and issues about you personally Smile
