I'm tempted, it's quite close to me, either weekend would be ok.

Could probably rope my brother into attending also.

Why is everyone obsessed with bombs and explosions? Just be happy to be out on the bike with fellow bike lovers, have a good drink and enjoy the weekend. You'll never find anywhere that's willing to let you blow things up.

It's not posh inside. They have a great Sunday carvery Smile

I could muddle along fine without the pyrotechnics, but it is what it is.

How about...we all fuck off somewhere away from the camp site to blow shit up... all we have to do is find another field that is empty... quick fire, boom.

To be clear, I have not at any time mentioned blowing anything up to any of these places, only if we can have a camp/bonfire. I did mention fireworks to the Miners but after the reaction I got I decided it would be best left out of any future conversations with other venues.

I don't care about causing explosions but a good camp fire you just cant beat, I think its an integral part of the event.

Explosions are unnecessary. If you can't have fun without them, then you're doing something wrong.

The whole making things go bang in the fire is really rather juvenile and passe. As GR says, the campfire is critical to any gathering, making bits of shrapnel come flying out of it is not. If we could tone it down a bit my old dear's field might be a goer.

Where is this field of which you speak?

The old dear says as long as there are no explosions and no shitting in HER field (there are miles of empty fields on the other side of the lane) we can use hers. Firsby in Lincolnshire.

Wheelies in the lane, no, but up the lane a bit ok. There is a bungalow directly over the hedge, double-glazed, and the fire will be up at the end of the field, so unless we're screaming like Sioux it should be ok. The field is about 100yards long by about 40yards wide.

The two best points are:

a) It's free.

b) I get to sleep in the horsebox. Middle Finger Laughing

9th-11th dates good for that field? People seem to be happy with then. Sounds good to me!
