Well as some of you may know I was in the market for a new bike and nearly got an M Reg GSX600F till all you lot said it was overly priced by a hell of a margin.

I now have changed me order to a very very mint example of a GPZ500S, thats just showing 500 Miles on it Laughing

All for £2299, Hopefully I made the right choice this time Very Happy

Hi

Should be good. Presume it is a fairly recent model with that mileage / price.

Will be a bit quicker than you GS (top speed is around 127 I think). Do about 60 to the gallon. Finish seems better than the GS500 as well, but still not great.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Quite old for the mileage. You can get them new for around £3500. Price wise probably not bad, but if you do a lot of miles then the value will drop rapidly (as it will no longer be a very low mileage bike).

All the best

Keith

This bike I'm getting is next to new, theres not a mark on it!

No rust, no nothing!

And I only do about 4k a year anyway so I won't bump up the mileage that much, plus I'm panning on keeping this bike for aslong as I can Very Happy

Hi

Sounds about perfect for you then.

Check you are happy with the riding position. They are quite upright which some people find comfortable, but I find they give me back ache.

Brakes are OK, but not great. Fuel consumption great (my better half has an early one that does around 60~65mpg, giving it a range of over 200 miles on a tank full). They do need to be revved fairly hard to get decent performance. Seat height is quite low.

All the best

Keith
