Just got my pair of Sartso Killer Cargo jeans delivered this morning.
They come with armour inserts.
As I woke up to answer the door to the UPS man I realised that the sun was shining as some sort of glorious sign that I should go for a nice long ride...Should have known that it wouldn't last haha.
Grim and grey out there now
Also, anyone have these jeans - and if so how have you found them so far? ____________________ "Calamity - A more than commonly plain & unmistakable reminder that the affairs of this life are not of our own ordering."

Meh - I got them because they had good reviews generally - and also half decent kevlar coverage (and I got them cheap )
Just a conversation starter really..no need to get moody
To be honest this is the first piece of protective legwear I have bought. I hardly wear the jacket I have, thats why I opted for them a as I think I may actually use them alot more than if I got leather or other outerwear like codura stuff. ____________________ "Calamity - A more than commonly plain & unmistakable reminder that the affairs of this life are not of our own ordering."

I had an argument with a policeman once after he pulled me over.
He was trying to say that wearing kevlar jeans was not considered as appropriate protective gear because they didnt have padded armour in...
Cool story.
I use my kelvar jeans all the time for local work... ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

No worries just a bit o tounge in cheek lol.
I got these used off ebay - but no signs of wear really, great condition. Yeah spending £100 on jeans isn't the one!
There is some low budget ones, unbranded - but I am skeptical of the durability of them - also coverage is less. Maybe someone can prove otherwise?*
(e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Denim-DuPont-Kevlar-Biker-Motorcycle-Motorbike-Pants-Trousers-Jeans-/120917069844?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Trousers&var=&hash=item1c27381014)
Thats why I waited to get a brand I know.
* (thinking about it though, gotta be better protection than the levi's/primark/M&S jeans I wear usually) ____________________ "Calamity - A more than commonly plain & unmistakable reminder that the affairs of this life are not of our own ordering."

i'd be equally hesitant to wear 'no-name' brands when it comes to PPE... you may as well just stick to the Tesco F+F jeans if you're going to go the cheap route as they'll probably give you the same level of protection!
i'd never thought of checking ebay for the jeans. i'll keep that in mind for when the bank balance is 'balanced' in my favor! ____________________ Bike: 2009 Bandit 650 | Licensed since: January 2012 | They stole my valve caps, the scum! |

My Sartso's haven't seen the light of day since whenever it was warm last year but I seem to remember they were nice and comfy. |

Just went out to the shops in them, but the only thing I have found is that with me being a bit of a short arse, instead of knee protection I have modified shin guards...Have to find a way to sort that.
Also the cuffs...(i think thats what their called - the opening of the leg) are really wide! I guess the're for wearing boots underneath (i.e. boot cut durr) but still feel alot wider than they need to be, its a bit to early for a cool breeze up my legs...
Looks like I will find someone to narrow them out a bit. ____________________ "Calamity - A more than commonly plain & unmistakable reminder that the affairs of this life are not of our own ordering."

I have the Black Sartso Cargo jeans myself, been using them for the last few months and my only issues are the ones you mention, mine are 34inch leg and they fit me well enough but the kneepads are a bit low, and they have a habit of sitting too far inside my knee rather than over it when on the bike. That and the 70s flare sized lower leg
Apart from that they fit really nice, huge improvement over the "Draggin" jeans I had before. ____________________ Well, I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor, and I'm happy to state I finally won out over it. - Elwood P. Dowd |

if you're wearing boots, what about tucking them into the boots then un-tucking them when you dismount? that's an easy work-around for the time being (coz it may not be possible to have the trousers taken in) ____________________ Bike: 2009 Bandit 650 | Licensed since: January 2012 | They stole my valve caps, the scum! |

Somebody say Sartso's?
Here's my review on both pairs of Sartso Killers
and Here's what I have to think - Sartso Killers Vs Draggin
I love them! Better than draggins IMO. I've crashed in them several times without the armour. Once on the road doing 20 MPH where I stupidly stacked the brake whilst braking in a straight line (oil + cold tyres or what not), and the other time at Hullavington on a minimoto with the BCF lot.
Very abrasion resistant and the kevlar coverage is better than any of the other jeans I've seen. Have a look at my video review to see why.
In fact, I wear both my killers on a day to day basis, even if I'm not on the bike. I'm so used to them. Being winter and all, it's also nice to have that warmth on your thighs. Can be a bugger in summer, but I can live with it. The killers also look pretty stylish and nobody would guess they were motorcycle jeans. I rock up to work wearing them. Makes me look more of a BMX-er rather than a sportbike rider.
I love the skater-boy low-slung fit and straight cuts. Fits over my boots nicely, or i can tuck in the hems up and wear my skate shoes. Wore them on the ride-out at the last BCF BBQ I attended where I was the lead bike and felt perfectly fine in them. I might have looked underdressed having turned up with jeans, jacket and skate shoes, but they do the job nicely. If you feel cold, my football shorts or nike combat undershorts which I use for cycling fit nicely. Long Johns are a viable option.
Oh, and I can vouch that they will last a weekend in a festival no problem, seeing that they've done Download 2010, 2011 and Sonisphere in the muddy wet moshpits! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
