 |
|
Hi,
I have a completely stock CBF125 and will be insuring it next month. However I want to fit a scorpion exhaust system but when I put this in on the comparison site, it bumps the price from £490 to £680 (which is the price difference of the facking exhaust!)
Is there a way to get around paying this? Like insuring it as stock then getting it changed after and declaring?? I've been told not to declare it but doesn't this void your insurance?? Should I call them?
aarrhhh!
Thanks for any help. |

Forget to mention it.
If you crash though, just put your original one back on, don't cry about the damage to it.
Realistically, it will do nothing good or bad for your bike to fit it. It is only a 125 |

You should declare all material modifications.
If it significantly increases performance (nobody laugh) or increases the chance of it being stolen (cuz dat CBF be wicked fast looking bruv) then yes.
Your broker or underwriter may disagree - some of them are truly idiotic and list things like stickers as "modifications" - but it's not an issue that should keep you awake.
All that said, save your money. Really, put it in the "A2 license" tin. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
