Yes, 112 is a common emergency services number and most of this video is true, unlike the bullshit '112 stopped my daughter getting raped' crap going around Facebook.

Mine and my family's mobiles are registered with 999 in the event they need to text for help.

I've never used 999 It's always been 112 when calling the emergency services for me.

Works everywhere in the EU, and perhaps a few other European countries.

Much easier than trying to remember loads of different numbers.
