I find myself constantly browsing eGay and Gumtree for motorbikes, every free minute I have. I almost bought a Thunderace today, even before I collected the cb400 SuperFour I bought last week. I know it's down to being bikeless at the moment, which is driving me a little mad.

It's to the point I feel like I'm getting a headache. I constantly find a way to convince myself selling my current bike will make me some money (which often does), to put towards the next. But I'm never happy with what I have. Today was an extreme example of not having a bike in my possession, yet already thinking what to get next. All I want to be is content.

Do I suffer alone BCF? Doh!

If your sig's up to date, then we can safely say no (unless you're only 18). Ask again when you're well into double figures Laughing

I often check on gumtree for 125 and 50's that need attention. Picked up a few for sub £100, spend £100-£200 on them sell them on for over £500

I am on the lookout for £100 bikes I can do a custom jobby one. A lil 125 or 250 2 stroke with an engine and frame clean it up, and build the rest around it. I am OCD on Ebay and Autotrader. Never look at Gumtree. Always met crooks on there.

Looking on E-gay and Bumtree all the time is a sign of bad aids! Smile

The drivel I regretfully posted last night is the affect of being bikeless, along with a big dose of self-pity. I'm still not over it, someone shoot me. Fook it all.

Gumtree isn't that bad, by the way.

Your not the only person to feel that your going mad and compelled to keep searching on every on-line sale site and forum for a new machine. Being bike/car'less does that to you.

A few years ago i nearly drove myself mad searching for a car, when i had sold my last one. I was after an immaculate Toyota Celica GT4, or a Rover coupe turbo, or a Fiat coupe 16VT. I spent weeks unable to go a day without logging on to forums, asking around and ebay scanning for the perfect car.

Nothing ever comes up when you want it so bad or are in a desperate rush IMO. And of course as soon as you buy something everyone with a really nice vehicle wants to sell.

If i were in your position, id either say fuck it for a month and try not to show any interest in looking for anything. It will make you calmer and more rational, and less likely to get into shouting at your computer and engaging in furious bidding wars etc!

Or i'd buy the first cheap tidy non specific machine you trip over or come accross locally or maybe through a mate at work etc, and ride that until you have 100% pinned down exactly what bike your after and how much your going to spend on one. Some would say that only a fool buys a bike at this time of the year, but it could be winter again next week, so prices might be late soaring this year maybe?

Just remove the porn filter on your computer. You will find other ways to entertain yourself.

just don't type eGay into google, unless you are a faggot. Laughing

God knows how many I've had... about 40 in the last 7 years. Can't help but look for something else, even when I've just bought one. Laughing

good idea. just don't let them move in. pump and dump. if they move in they will move out with all the contents except your bike.

remember the 23 hr rule. They must never be there longer than 23 hrs, and the tooth brush goes with them Mr. Green
