OK I've only ever sold a couple of things on ebay and I'm looking for some advice really.

I've decided to break the GPz, but not sure on what to/will sell, how much to list parts for, do I list the parts seperately or do the whole breaking and list a dust cap.

Basically I want as much sold as quickly as possible and have had a look at prices on some things, but figure if I listed things too cheap people might thing there is problems with them.

Also I'm considering the engine is now scrap (took the valve cover off and noticed the oil and water have started to seperate again and causing some surface rust on the camshafts etc), would I be able to list that as spares or repair as there are a few useful parts left in there (I guess).

I have a lot of parts from the old zxr engine too, should I list all of them? Or keep them for the next time the engine blows up?

Sorry I'm more an ebay buyer than seller.

Also would I be able to put a listing in the for sale section with either a link to the ebay listing or just listing the parts?

FYI it's hard for you to actually 'scrap' a bike now.
You can't just send off the form to the DVLA.
That said you can strip it and sell all the parts while keeping the frame.

Then take frame to a breaker who does scrap stuff and get the disposal certificate from them. Otherwise you'll have to keep the frame on SORN and renew it annually (don't rely on politicians promises to stop that) from now until doomsday (remember to put it in your will).

I know that doesn't answer your eBay question. However, since when as that stopped anyone posting a reply into a thread Wink Very Happy

You could try listing the whole bike for spares/repair/project and see how the bidding goes, if it looks like it won't make what you consider a fair price then cancel the listing, or put a reserve on it.

For the ball ache of stripping the parts and selling on it'd be much easier to, as mentioned above, sell the bike as spares or repairs. I guess the price difference wouldn't be that much.

This, and you won't have a billion and 1 parts sitting around.

i bought a hornet off a mate for £100 with a knackered left hand crankcase. I sold everything far cheaper than the other parts were up at on ebay and still made well over a Grand on it, and sold the frame with v5.

People dont get scared off by things being cheap, so long as your descriptions are accurate and with pics of any damage etc they will snap parts up.

Only issue as said is having the room to store the parts!

Also you actually need to list the parts, my old CBR is sitting in the-godfathers garden minus the fairing (which by the way will sell in no time), we've been breaking it since November Laughing
