Hi everyone bit of a newbie to all this ,but i wonder if this seems normal to anyone .I bought a secoundhand honda hornet(600) last tuesday it went in for a MOT(same day)via the dealer and was then told it needs new Steering bearing ,i have since phoned them up a few times to enquire when it's ready,but i'm always told the same thing that they are waiting for the bearing to arrive 1.would they take this long 2.is this normal i would appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me on this as i am a bit green in this area.Cheers Confused Thumbs Up

Hi

Honda are normally very good for getting spare parts out quickly. They might be getting some from a general parts supplier rather than Honda (the bearings are almost certainly a standard size), and this might take longer but not a week.

Changing them can be a pain, but should not be too time consuming for a reasonably equiped workshop.
