Barriers

I dont know if many of you have noticed the changes but round here, particularly up on Snake Pass, many of the barriers now have skirts that reach the floor to prevent bikes/bikers getting trapped underneath them or receiving vicious injuries from colliding with the vertical support structure.
I am going to be having a look round this weekend and asking why some roads have taken this safety measure while others have not
ROAD SAFETY cameras do not save bikers lives, Better crash barriers and better road surfaces do.
So thumbs up for the Modifications they have made, and here's hoping that others roads get the same.

It would, in my opinion, be worth asking the question of the local authorities, which injuries or fatalities could have been avoided if barriers had been designed with Bikes in mind rather than Cars and Lorries.
