So I got declined for blackhorse finance last Thursday which I didn't understand because I was doing a part ex on my current bike which has outstanding finance which is less than the valuation the dealer gave me in which he told them that I wanted to put all that down for deposit of £450 which they said gives me a greater chance. I got declined couldn't understand why as nothing has changed so I did one of those little experian credit checks and it turns out I owe £109 from a previous agreement which I fought was paid and forgotten but checked with my bank statements and they never actually accepted the payment inwhich the bank pt it back in my account. Turns out they've sold it to a collection agency so I got them on the phone and they said its fine for me to pay on Friday. I was pissed off because this crap is stopping me from getting a bigger bike and I forgot to ask when this will be removed of my credit report now I've googled it and from what it shows it all depends on the collection agency. They can either take it off my report once its all sorted or I have to write them a letter offering them money to remove it after I've already payed. Any one had any experience or this or has any idea when it will be removed? This is abit of an essay but thought it would be easier to just get it all out. Cheers

It's not, essays have paragraphs and should be easy to read. This is a stream of consciousness diatribe.

It will only drop off after 6 years....

You cannot remove this from your credit report as this is a factual history of your credit.
In this case you failed to settle a debt. So best you can hope for is it being updated to settled in full.

Only hope to get it removed is if its a error. Which clearly this is not... As you poointed out. You have now noticed the funds were still in your bank account...
Shame you did not notice at the time Laughing

It's like some weird SQL query!

Code:
SELECT * WHERE payments <> 'paid';
