Well just out of a bit of interest here, having changed my oil and filter today (well I didnt do it, my local dealer did Razz )

I am just wondering how often you guys do it.

I myself have them done at 2000 Mile Intervals even though Suzuki say every 4000. Smile

2000, a bit low miles. You have to let the oil get "used" a bit... Do it when ever the manufacturer says. They pretty much know whats best, maybey a bit less if you want to.

Ill do mine every 5000KMS.

Ive done about 2500KMS ago and my oil hasn't even changed colour (to black) yet...

My bike seems to run smoother and sweeter when I change the oil, seems to start easier and generally just better.

Hence why I do it every 2000 Miles and at every 4000 it gets a full service.

I remember my Superdream (or should that be wetdream) required an Oil Change every 1000 Miles, I never did though, I just ran that engine into the ground, the oil was like gloop when I sold it Twisted Evil

4k, because that is how often it is serviced, and what Yamaha tell me to do.

BROS service manual says oil and filter change every 12,000km, so that's what I'll do!

Yeah, mine is every 6000miles. But people do recommend more.

I think because some people only do 2000 miles per year, that would mean and oil change every 6 years on your bike! LOL

On my RGV I changed it every 1500-2000 miles as the gearbox got very stiff after that point. on the VFR I've done it every 4000 miles so far, I'd do it more if it wasn't for having to buy a bloody oil filter every time!
