What is the best scrambler for on the road?

Just wondering what you guys think is the best dirt bike for road usage. I am looking into buying one and like off roading and green laning but I want to be able to ride it on the roads too, I don't want another motox bike which can't be used on the road.

Depends on individual requirements.I prefer a four stroke.Others a two stroke.Some prefer Honda,others a Suzuki.How deep is your pocket?Do you have any local green lanes?For riding further afield,do you have the use of a van or trailer?

It may well be worth having a look at www.trf.org.uk and looking to see if the group most local to you is worth going along to one monthly meeting.Quite often there will be someone selling a bike that may well be within your preferances.
