I had a Mk.II version of that bike many moons ago, which started off looking like this

which, after a few hours and days ended up looking like this

In fact,I still have a spare petrol tank for a DT125LC

nice project you've got there. these MK1 DT's are becoming very collectable and go for staggering prices in good nick.

I also had an LCII - My first bike! I loved that thing but it never worked properly 100%. If the motor was going ok then there'd be some electrical problem or chassis problem, it was quite funny looking back!

Yeah the mk1 and mk2 DT125LC's are great little bikes. This will be a nice project when it's done indeed!

I saw a tatty but running mk2 DTLC advertised for £400 really local to me. I was very tempted to make a cheeky offer as it was in the IT blue colours which i've always liked. The only thing that stopped me buying it, was not having the space in the garage now the car is in there, and also im surrounded by bit's of stripped down KMX that i've not done a thing with for ages, so another project would have just been stuck in the garden, unless i bring it indoors? Smile
