 |
|
Hi Guys,
looking for some information following the Triumph Trophy, or if you would recommend anything similar. i've saw a few decent examples on ebay for the late 90's models and they look nice enough, but i don't know much about Triumphs other than their Bonnevilles.
i'm going to buy a second bike in the next 2/3 weeks and was originally going for a cruiser (personal preference, does not mean i like Toby ) - but all of them seem to be going up in price as the days go on - so i'm thinking about maybe a tourer/commuter style bike.
i got surgery on my back in december there so i need something upright as opposed to sports, which is annoying as insurance permits me to be able to afford a thundercat...
anyway. i will have a budget of £1600 to buy something, ideally cheaper but i'm comfortable around £1600.
sorry for waffling, but any pointers would be good.
cheers! ____________________ Current: Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator

Sounds like a bus and pulls like a train.
Sit at 100, any faster and buffets due to the screen.
Loads of luggage space in panniers.
Pain in ass to tighten chain as exhausts have to come off first. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

hmmm, i didn't even consider weight as an issue. good point man, thanks.
WTD, noisy engines on em then?
are there any other bikes you could suggest? there's a few Bandit S models out there which look nice but there tends to be a lot of talk about how boring they are. then again, people say the same about cruisers ____________________ Current: Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator

there's 3 or 4 within my budget, i assume you've experience with them?
also, i've never bought a bike on ebay before. can you haggle on "classified" and "buy it now" prices? i assume the auction you can't!
Edit: as for the BMW, i did consider them as they are good looking but i was told the same as polarbear advised, they arent quick for their size. not ruling anything out though ____________________ Current: Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator
