What make tyre is that?

Try Bridgestone BT45's, I've been told there great on XJ600's.

I use them on my GS500. Smile

Do you know,
I've seen damage like that before...

It was on G's KR1s and it was a set of two year old race tyres that had give up the ghost. Michael Cater had just taken it for a session at a snetterton trackday and proclaimed: "that tyre is fooked!".

Its like the tread wants to come away from the carcass, and has split! Shocked

I think a trip to your friendly neigborhood tyre place is on the cards! Smile

Hi

That was a Bridgestone (cannot remember which one). Picture was taken by the back of the car before lobbing them in the boot and wandering along for some new tyres. There was also a nail in it Confused .

Now has a pair of BT45s on it (that is 3 bikes in the garage with BT45s on them).

All the best

Keith

BT45's are solid tyres, since i had them on the bros, i havent had a single moment of dodgyness and they still look new after many many motorway miles, and grippy instantly when you bank it over

top tyres Thumbs Up

Looks like a BT39 to me. Used them on my GPZ last summer. Blinding tyres, grips amazing. They never looked like that though.

Hi

BT45s are nice. Grip is not bad. They even seemed to grip OK in a potato field.

The old Bridgestones worked OK on the Divvy. To be honest the Divvy handles OK, but then it is a fairly softly sprung bike and I am quite light.

All the best

Keith

ANyone got any opinions on dunlop gpr 80's? i have since getting my bike nicely countoured the tyres back into sweet curves from their squearing off, but they wheelspin alot mid corner occasionally, and when wheelying. Oh and when you stop hard ei when doing a stoppie) more often then not the tyre skids, even when warmed ALOT and with quite stodgy brakes.

I've just put GPR80's on for the first time, I'm quite impressed with them. They are marketed as 'sports/touring', but that's what I want as I'm sick of 2-3000 mile Bridgestones Razz

I've found them as sticky as anything, good wet weather grip straight from the off (160 miles of it Neutral), and on the first hot and sunny day I got my knee down (1st time) on a right hand bend, twice Very Happy
