Can't find a proper UK website - just the US site. Am guessing they don't have a UK site then?

Nope, you can buy from there but will get hit by customs charges. Just look for an online retailer, only big places will carry them because they charge a lot

Places like Hein Gericke and J&S Accessories carry their stuff, as said it does retail at quite a hefty price.

You can buy from the US site but it costs a bomb. You may not want to, but you can get most of the Alpinestars stuff on eBay, new or used and it's often a fair bit cheaper.

It's not really the price from them it's the bloody customs charges! I bought a couple of T shirts because they were on offer with free shipping and I ended up having to pay a ridiculous amount in duty and 'handling fees'

That was the first ever time I've had to pay charges on something from the US

Probably explains why my Alpinestars gloves have a hole in them, and my mates jacket the zip flew apart in an accident jamming the actual zip at the top of his jacket.
Quality stuff Thumbs Up

M & P do some of their stuff. I got a Goretex Alpinestars jacket in the sale for just under £250...seems well made and been completely warm and dry so far.

Is that fact, personal opinion or did you just make that up.?

Any reasons behind this comment?

I've had a pair of A* SMX-R boots for nigh on two years and they have been fantastic, even the velcro and zips still work fine after about 20,000 miles and everyday use.

Same goes for my GP+ gloves, cant fault them. The leathers are a tad pricy though so i cannot comment on those.

You mean like my comment just up there, where my GP Plus gloves have a hole in them, and of course my mate who had a crash the zip pulled apart.

Agree with this - my GP+ gloves also have a hole in them, they've spilt where the palm meets the thumb. Admittedly, that is after wearing them for ~5k or so with the thinnest of liners but still, doesn't bode well. My hands are the third most important thing after my love sausage and love spuds so I'd rather they were protected as much as possible. Its only a small hole but I would have to say the quality on the SP1s I had before were much, much better - and they were supposed to be a 'lower' model.

On the other hand, both pairs of my A*s booties are excellent - I have nothing but praise for them.

Yep, fact behind it.

Had a jacket that was bought as 100% water proof and cost £180. Was never water proof so sent it back. Sent me a new one and after 3 months the zip has broke on both the pocket and main zip. Also it is starting to rip at the armpits and velcro on inside pocket is destroyed. Has never been water proof and soaks right through.

AST1 trousers have stayed water proof but I have had to have the zip replaced twice by them within 6 months.

Poor quality.
