Alton Towers discount?

So every year I go to Alton Towers and there are always discounts and vouchers everywhere, however I am gonna head down there on Thursday but have not seen any this year.

Has anybody else seen any anywhere? I would prefer not to pay their full price if I didn't need to

Best I could find was a coupla quid off on their website. Print your own ticket too so you don't have to queue.

Not as good as a few years back when we used to get 50% off using lastminute.com, and picked the tickets up from reception instead of the ticket booths (thus avoiding the queues).

No good for short notice, but Tesco clubcard points can get you tickets

Me and the mrs go every year but we wait until October. We normally have free tickets fro somewhere by then or we have buy one get one free vouchers and the hotel is half price or better. The best bit is the park is normally deserted - Win!

She looked this morning for october this year and its £400 for the hotel alone plus our usual sun 'free' tickets are in half term week, no good lol!

We used to live in Oakamoor and so got about free tickets posted to our house each year. It got so the only thing we used to go for was the petting farm - to laugh at the piglets and stroke the lambs. But then a massive foot and mouth outbreak came along and they shut it down. Crying or Very sad

Btw there are numerous public rights of way that go into the towers if you know where to look.

Usually guys parked in laybys on the way in selling cheap tickets. Maybe locals who get them free.

Kellogg's were doing "One free adult when a child/adult pays full price", essentially buy one get one free. Not sure if it's still on though.

I actually got a couple of 2 for 1 vouchers from Asda a few weeks ago - might be worth a try and your local Asda.

Other than that, when a whole bunch of us went last year we just bought some 2 for 1 tickets off ebay - around 99p each, well worth the saving, and someone else has done all the searching Thumbs Up

The single rider queues can be shit though, and often take longer than normal queues. No single seats no rides, and the single rider only goes down 1 or 2 people at a time.

Queues are normally ok if you go off season during the week. I would never dream of going in Summer at a Weekend.

September week day is the time to go.
The kids are just back at school so no school trips and the weather is still pretty decent.
Done it several times and just walk on any ride all day, No way would I go in the summer holidays or the Firework nights.
