Seem to have a flat spot at 4-5 thousand revs, any ideas ? Would a carb balance help ?

if yours has the standard exhaust, then that's pretty normal tbh.

Ah ok, haven't got standard exhaust, looks like ill just have to accept it then its not bad, never had it on any of my other bikes

The old SRAD 600 was notorious for having a flat spot near the mid point. My old one did the same, only way these bikes can be run effectively is to keep it on the boil all the time, just rev the tits off it and it'll be perfect.
