Hi

My speedometer has stopped working on my 1990 GPZ, i've replaced the speedo cable, the dials with still no luck.

This leads me to believe that its the drive assembly on the front wheel hub. The bike has no center stand, so getting the front wheel is going to be a bit difficult.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the front wheel off, without the center stand?

Regards

I believe at a recent trackday they got the back wheel up with some wheelie bins, straps, and wooden struts?
Guessing you could make a similair hoist to hold the front end up, with some good struts/straps and a couple of friends.
I guess, if you are into makeshift bike hoisting devices that may fail :<

You could just go and buy a front paddock stand.

I think the drive thing for the speedo's on GPz550's are prone to breaking down. I had problems with mine.

Oh if you need any spares give me a shout.
