I want to replace the standard end can on my 2006 Gen 2, FZ1-N.

All the cans I've seen require replacement of the link pipe, which will mean I will lose the Exup valve.
I've searched, on here, about the effects of removing the Exup valve but I'm no wiser.
Over on the Fazer forum, the opinion seems to be that the FI will compensate for the loss of the Exup.
So has anyone done this, and did you notice any difference in performance, in particular a hole in the mid-range and less low down power?

You should be able to get a map specific to the pipework that will deal with the loss of the exup valve. Especially if you fit a Power Commander too.
