Ahaha, it would if I knew if they actually are? I don't know. My internet searching skills fail me and just link me to ebay with a16 ones. It says road legal but they're longer than these ones.

edit:(idiot alert) can race cans be road legal?

Basically if a can says "Not for road use" or "Race use only" then it cant be used on the road.

And I cant reeeeally be bothered to look it up but i'm pretty sure the only laws surround exhausts are that of noise and emissions. So if it's loud and smelly as fuck then probably not going to be legal.

But just because they're not legal doesn't mean you shouldn't use them... It's only a problem if you get stopped/caught Thumbs Up

The website suggests stubby A16s are not road legal.

Give them a call and ask?

Most likely be fine until MOT time, then you an just tape over the race bit or dremel and polish it off.

This was not legal at all...

What about if it says nothing on them?

I just fitted these:

and it sounds like a jumbo taking off but it says nothing on the cans.......

Yeah, I guess since it doesn't say road legal on the stubby ones, I guess it's not.

Other way around. You can't put "road legal" on a can to make it so. Wink

There used to be all sorts of tosh about kite / e markings, but I believe that's been done away with. It's not mentioned in the 2005 manual from motinfo.gov.uk

Fails are:

A silencer which is in such a condition or is of such a type that the noise emitted is clearly in excess of that which would be produced by a similar machine fitted with a standard silencer in average condition.

A silencer marked 'NOT FOR ROAD USE', TRACK USE ONLY' or similar words.
