Hi guys,

My fork seals have recently gone, looking at the labour prices (I don't have tools) it seems to me that getting a set of used forks off of eBay may seem like a better idea? What do you guys think? And if I should get new forks what ones are good, cheap and will fit? I've heard that KDX and KMX 200 forks may fit.

Cheers

Really?

Takes about an hour, make it 3 if you've not done it before.

Not hard at all and will got about £30-£40 in seals.

The only problem being that I don't have any of the tools needed, and a new set of forks legs would cost about £40? What about the price of the fork oil?

Forks for £40 would expect them to be shagged beyond redemption.

Whereabouts are you? If you are close I could rebuild them for the price of parts. Laughing

Bit too far Laughing

When buying forks, you'd probably factor in new oil anyway as it goes bad over time.

Do you really not have the tools? A few sockets and maybe allen keys.

and the seals will most likely be buggered in them too. As others have said, really easy job to do. I understand that you don't have tools but for less than £40, you could buy what you need so that you can do others when the time comes Smile
