I saw this on Yahoo today, I wonder if it's really any good? Anyone used it? Wonder if it would come in handy for any bike repairs? Maybe not things that get hot... I dunno Confused

Actually, apparently this stuff stands up to heat and cold too, one sucg project quotes "David resealed a link in the cooling system of his car where it needed to withstand temps of 80C and high pressure too."

I wonder how it would stand up on downpipes...

You can make your own :-

I wouldn't do anything with it that had serious stress/extremes with it, but would be handy for minor repairs on non structural stuff.

Is it significantly different from cheap mixable silicone putty? That sets up into a "firm rubber" substance as well.
