Some photos from late last week. For some reason I always have to make a point of riding down roads with this sign:

No - I get that. But it's off-set for me by the feeling that you're getting off the beaten track.

Hey! I am a Hayes man! If I see a tree that hasn't got 'Derek <3 lucy 4eva' badly carved into I take a picture of it before someone does! Walking through country forests is a nightmare for me. I am in a constant state of awe and untouched trees Embarassed

The upside down give way signs around here always intruiges me. They obviously mean beware there is something ahead you should be aware of, ie junction.

One of the rules when designing signs is that the aircraft symbol can be any angle as long as it never points even slightly downwards.

The triangles shown in your picture means warning, the plate below says what the warning is about. This was replaced with the modern pictogram type signs.

Give way and Stop signs (octagonal) are a different shape to all other signs for safety reasons so that if they are covered in snow you will still know what they mean.

All the Give Way signs I have seen have been 3-sided octagons.

what do you think this one means?

I guess this one means darkies ahead

https://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/hvandermerwe62/Hijack-hots.jpg

It is always funny when they put signs for potholes next 10 km and you see this. They can go through the effort of putting up signs but they cant fix the road?
