Think people underestimate the importance of how sound effects matter

Unfortunately you couldn't walk past that, the guy filming it is still seeing the water run like normal.

Thanks to the fact that most cameras operate at 24 frames per second when recording video and that he's playing a 24hz sine wave it means that every time the camera takes a frame shot the water is in the same place, so it looks like it isn't moving.

Now, if you could walk past it, awesome would be made. Cool.

Cymactics. This looks beyond fun. This is a good example of mind over matter, though this is a technological/mechanical experimental demonstration, but also a good example of how our emotional vibrations create the world around us, that we live in. Damn! This is the kind of video that I've waited for to pop up, and now here it is. It's not too much wishful thinking, but I'm sure with your scientific know how, you can most likely create a space craft that runs on the vibration of our emotions.

Its true. Theres a backwards water one filmed at a different frame rate. Lemmie go find it...

(insert cheesy waiting music)

My mistake it was a different sound rate. 23HZ instead. Fascinating stuff.

The same kind of thing happens with strip lighting.

They are flashing on and off at a rate of 50hz. A human can't process sight at that speed so they appear to be on constantly.

They had issues in factories when they first introduced strip lighting, because if there was a rotating machining also running at 50 hz (3000rpm) in the factory, to a human eye it would appear to be not moving at all.

Its also why LED lights seem to blink on cars on TV shows.
