I got this off an 98 R1 I am breaking at the moment and am lost to what wheel it is exactly... It is mega light though... any ideas?

Looks a lot like the 04+ R1 wheels.

:edit: On second thought, they look even more like the Dymag wheels my uncle has on his 05 R1.

Is the rim carbon or magnesium?

Think they are the same wheel but one has a carbon rim, the hub has loads of holes so you can buy different attachments for different bikes.

Not carbon, must be magnesium!

What would be a reasonable price to ask for the front second hand?

I've also got alot of dynomite bits but cant find any info on them at all. Rearsets + underseat carbon exhaust system etc

The new version seems to be about £1200 per wheel new, and about £400-500 second hand.

So probably about £200-300.
