I've posted this in bike chat for the simple reason it will get more views than putting it in General or Current Affairs. Mods, move if you wish.

Be careful out there on the roads people. Not only do we have terrible weather conditions in places at the moment we now have to deal with twats leaving rocks in the road.

Stay safe. Thumbs Up

some absolute wastes of space out there.

I had to swerve round a bucket of set concrete not so long ago square in the middle of the lane

We get the dickheads that think its great fun to get pissed and put traffic cones in the middle of the lanes but they are high viz and you normally see them with plenty of time to move, or slow down and kick them out of the way.

Be very careful that some dickhead hasn't filled it with concrete.
That'll be the next thing.

When I was in the Alps this summer, we stopped in a layby to admire the view and a rock the size of my head just landed in the middle of the road about six feet away. Shocked

Thanks, sorry for the bloke, and string 'em up, but... is anyone going to change their riding because of this? Thinking

You're far, far more likely to come off from hitting gravel or oil or field crud (or crisp packets). We face that every day.

I recently hit some bricks that some idiot had left in the road, feel very lucky after reading this that I didn't do serious damage. People thin they're being funny doing stuff like this, pathetic.

was on the way up to tesco the other night, the lanes split into a contraflow system on this little stretch for roadworks and it was dark with a crummy chinese 125 headlamp.

noticed a large rubber cone shaped thing in the road. was the rubber base off those narrow pylon things they use to divide the road, upside down.

went around it, around the roundabout, back down the road, around the roundabout at the other end, pulled up in the wider area, moved it and went on my merry way.

was a car behind me at the time so as i went past it i was pointing down at it so the car saw it too.

When I was a little kid I thought it was an uber cool prank to tie rope from one lamppost to the other side of the road, never even thought about motorcyclists

I am a monster Crying or Very sad

I took a live rabbit off a road once, it couldn't wait to get smushed, not seen any rabbits down there since so I think he survived and warned the others

Yeah thanks, but the day I can't avoid an obstacle in the road will be the day that I send my licence back to Swansea.

It's not uncommon to see bricks in the road. I try not to think about what would happen if I hit one...

Was 2 bricks right in the middle of the outside lane on the roundabout near where I work the other day, I pulled off the first exit, parked up walked down and picked them up before the road got busier (was 5am, just finished a night shift)
It's only due to the fact that it was pissing down with rain that I didn't hit them myself, I normally ride round there a little fast, but I ride like a granny when it's soaking wet Very Happy

This happened about a mile from my house. I use that road all the time. It’s actually got speed bumps so my first thought was rubble getting knocked off the back of a lorry, but it seems that it was a 12 x 12 inch concrete brick deliberately moved into the road. It had been on the verge to prevent people parking there.

RIP early Sunday morning ride dude.

Great stuff. But it is amazing what you cant see in the middle of the road if your commuting home at night in the rain in winter. Things just seem invisible until you're almost on top of them.
