looking at these or something similar that will be good for this distance 5 days a week and won't need rebuilding all the time?

what other bikes are worth a look?

Single cylinder, road biased, old school enduro bike. If you're only using it for commuting I would spend your money on something else. Nothing wrong with them by any means, but if you're not doing any trail or off road work then why not get a road bike. I ride enduro bikes (offroad) and have ridden them on the road in the past. Love them in their environment but detest riding them on the road. Just my tuppence worth. Wink

Not for that type of distance.

For blasting around at weekends... yes

I was using a varadero 125 but as most of my route is motorway I needed something that could keep up when traffic suddenly cleared so got a ZZR600

if you don't have much / any motorway the varadero would suit brilliantly and is cheap as chips to run.

Please don't spend 3 grand on a DRZ they aren't worth that much. Dealers must see pound signs when someone part ex's one in.

I wouldn't get one to commute that far on, especially if it's on the motorway but they can definitely handle it.

Only if you're going to wheelie it for 49 miles each day Wink
