Im currently a Commercial Gas engineer by trade, ive come up through the ranks from a plumber, domestic gas, etc etc, learnt alot over the years but now im really starting to do proper commercial work and really enjoying it I think id like to add some new skills to my portfolio.

I find welding really interesting and something id like to have a go at be it from a work perspective or a hobby one with the bikes..

theres a part time course on near me which im gonna do for 6 months to get to know about all the different types, they do a furter level 3 course too which id like to achieve..

Is there any official qualifications as such or accreditation, or are u simply as good as u can produce in terms of quality of work!

You'll need to get your "Upside Down to 4 thou" certificate which can only be awarded in Denmark.

Not sure on qualifications, but if you do lead welding be warned if it pops it really hurts.

It really depends what you want to do. If you want to do pressure vessels etc, it's an apprenticeship length of time.

To do cars, basic steel work, well certificates and practical tests if good enough should see you through.

And if you can do the upside down 4 thou welding Thumbs Up Girls will throw their knickers at you.
