Lol you wish buddy.

The laws had 0 effect on CBT's.

If you haven't passed any exam (Mod1/Mod2) and your still on your CBT then your part of the new laws.

Is the correct answer. Sadly for you the best you can hope for is a full license with a 125cc bike until you are 19 and then you can ride something a bit bigger.

The Motorcycle Test, Licence Categories & Age Restrictions
You can ride a 14.5bhp 125cc machine on CBT & L's and you can take the A1 catagory test on such, to get a 125 only licence.
DO IT.
Starts clock on count-down for 2 year New-Driver-Act probation.
Saves ever having to repeat CBT
Ditches the damn L's
Means a clear run, with theory & CBT in the bag, if at 19, you decide you want to go for higher A2 (45bhp) licence, and confidence you have passed tests once, & its just doing it on a heavier more powerful bike; so should need less expensive training to make the grade & secure a pass.
But mainly.... you can ditch the damn L's and not look such a plonker, on a tiddler.

Yup, sucks to be you, but I'd agree with having a go at getting an A1 license on your own 125. Don't put money into it, but if you can smash in mod 1 for £15.50 and mod 2 for £75 then it's worth it to get the clock ticking on your 2 year "new driver" countdown.
