I'm thinking of getting a second bike second hand and have seen a few CCM R30's for sale. I like supermotos so I'm wondering if they are any good. The ones i've seen for sale are 2003 models and around £1500 mark with around 6000 miles on.

If it is the version with the Suzuki 650 Freewind engine,it is much better with a 715cc big bore kit and a more lumpy cam fitted. But I have been told by a friend with one so fitted that it is a LOT more fun now Twisted Evil

But a lot cheaper for better condition models.

I too have been looking at these and have read a lot of reviews. I'm yet to read any horror stories just the typical, "I really liked it", "It's not as good as my old WR400", "It's better than my DRZ" type thing.

44bhp isn't much from 715cc, I'm guessing it's air cooled? For £1,500 go for it, can't go wrong for that, DRZs are twice that these days.

I'm thinking ahead for a winter hack. Seems CCMs might be a good cheap option.

They're slow and fairly heavy compared to supermotos, but should be more reliable with less servicing required.
