Hi all
Bike,s starter motor is not working
Problem started when I installed frame side gaurds.not sure what I went wrong
I have removed it and its not spinning at all
Also noticed I am not hearing click click noise when I used to get it when I pressed the start button
I bought new battery can anyone confirm what is fully charge battery current should be
I also bought new relay switch and installed but made no difference
I notice that starter motor has one cable connection, I assume other must be earth, can anyone advise how can I check if earth cable is working.

Can anyone advise what things I should check.

Sounds like your starter solenoid has packed in, get a multi meter on it. Here's a very simple diag of how it all works;

Thanks Mate for replying,
But is this same as Relay. If I have bought a new Relay and changed it but it made no difference.
I will try with multi meter

Hi there,
Ok I used multimeter to do some testing.
Here are the results
I am getting Voltage reading at Cable coming from battery.
However i am not getting any reading from Solenoid to Motor.
Current/Old Solenoid rating is 12v 70A

I ordered one Solenoid off ebay, but when i received it I noticed it is wrong one because its 12v and 80a

Anyway i connected it up , but still no current reading.

Not sure If I am supposed to press the start button to trigger the current etc? Can anyone please confirm?

Anyway I have ordered a new Solenoid which has correct rating is 12v 70A, hopefully i should get it soon.
